"Hospice is the passionate pursuit, in each patient's own circumstance, of what is termed "quality of life". For me, "quality of life" is defined as being comfortable (being pain-free without side effects), surrounded by compassionate caregivers and family members, maintaining one's individual dignity and meeting each one's spiritual needs. Finally, hospice is about the hope of healing hurts, the hope of resolving unresolved conflicts and the hope of making fragmented families whole again. And, although dying is part of living, hospice strives to give beauty, depth and meaning to the completion of each one's life journey."
- Dr. Huson Middleton III,
Medical Director

“I am very grateful to Hospice Compassus for their help with my mother-in-law. I used to think Hospice was for the dying, but I now know it’s also for the living and the families. I knew if I needed anything I could call at anytime night or day. Thank you.” – Dora
