“My father passed away in April of 2008. He was under Hospice care after receiving a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This was a tremendous relief to me since I could only make the 1600 mile trip to see him every eight weeks. He had weekly visits from his RN who checked his vital signs and contacted his physician when problems were noted. He had several hospice volunteers that assisted him with going to doctor appointments and even trips to McDonald’s for ice cream or malts. The volunteers were always able to get him out when my best efforts usually resulted in a perfunctory “I don’t feel up to it today. With the care given by Hospice, my father would not have been able to stay in his home, and this was his fondest wish. Thank you Hospice Compassus."
